The auction, which will take place on 7th November 2017, will be extremely interesting for the quality and variety of the lots to be offered. There is a rare group of pistols and military guns, a fascinating set of weapons of great significance and quality amongst which is a Jarre system hunting gun, the so-called "Harmonica", a superb Cessier system double-barrelled gun, some English guns produced by the most important 19th century gunsmiths, flintlock and percussion pistols, a splendid pair of silver-plated Spanish-type pistols, oriental pistols, revolvers and dueling cases of utmost importance. A finely-made Italian chased main gauche is worth citing as are the swords, rapiers, pole weapons, sabres – all noteworthy items produced during the Kingdom of Italy period - and a superb Turkish pala. Some interesting court swords, a 16th century Turkish horse helmet and a recompense Directory period pistol produced by Boutet are also up for sale. Of interest in the militaria section is a boxed general’s helmet complete with case and medals and numerous other lots.
